Panti of Bhima

You can see this Bhima's Panti near the Mangalbari Hat of Mukundpur Hargauri of Jahanpur Union under Dhamirhat upazila of Naogaon district. It is a single black stone pillar. The locals know this black stone pillar as Bhima's Panti or the stick of Bhima of the King Kaivarta. Previously there was an idol on this pillar. The statue was like half-male and half-bird. But it was broken by the thunderstorm. At present, only the pillar stands for witness of time. It is believed that in the ninth or tenth century Pala Raja Narayanapala's Minister Bhattaguru Mishra built this Panti.
